Here’s my basic ‘guidelines’ for every meal.
Meals should consist of 1 protein: 2 eggs, chicken breast, salmon, tuna, fish, turkey, lean beef - 100-150g servings
Veg: anything bar peas, corn, pumpkin, sweet potato and potato - veg is unlimited.
Carbs: brown or basmati rice, potato, pumpkin, oatmeal, sweet potato, brown rice cakes. - usually 1/2 cup of rice OR 2 rice cakes OR 2 small potatoes OR one small sweet potato OR 3/4 cup pumpkin.
Fats: not necessary to add into meal but approximately 1 tsp of unheated fats, this can be macadamia or canola oil, avocado or coconut oil, olive oil if not heating. If you aren’t cooking with fats then you may use 1 tbsp of pb or 1/8th of an avocado, or 1/2 cup Greek yoghurt.And for my workouts! I have a pt so they changed and still do change on a daily basis - but all I do is lift weights :)
